A cardiac stress test intends to increase cardiac activity by increasing blood flow through the coronary arteries while monitoring electrical activity with an EKG and symptoms that could be related to artery blockage or spasm. A stress echo adds an echocardiogram to show the dynamic movement of the heart structures (walls, valves) and blood flow undergoing stress
