How acurate is an echo stress test?

Cardiac testing: Stress Echo is reserved for those unable to complete an exercise stress test. It has a high "specificity" which means very accurate in finding disease in an individual. Stress echo is useful for the eval of patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease.

Typically 60-90%: While the type of stress echocardiogram is important (exercise vs chemical stress test), the mean 'sensitivity' (finding an existent problem) and the 'specificity' (a positive test=actual existent disease) vary slightly though the averages for both fall between 60-90%. Cited ranges are 51-97%.
