It may or not be OK; you need to check with your doctor. Perhaps there is a particular reason for self catheterization, for example if you have a a lot of urine remaining in the bladder after voiding (post-void residual). On the other hand, repeated self catheterization raises infection risk compared with natural voiding. Discuss all this with your doctor. Good luck.

It depends on how full the bladder is and how much and at what force you urinate. So if you urinate 200- 300c.c. ata time and have the feeling of emptying you are ok . If not or if you want to make sure have your Urologist do Ultrasound to check that out. Good luck.
