Its half life is 2 hours, meaning that only 1/2 is present in 2 hours.& only 1/4 left in 4 hours,etc. More importantly, as regards treatment, its duration of efficacy is about 6 hours. Trace amounts may be found in the urine by then however. Your pharmacist can validate this information.
