I haven't had a period for over 4 years. yesterday i began bleeding, like a regular period at times and spotting in between. lower stomach has a burning/ cramping feeling. should i go to er or try to see an obgyn asap?

Call a /your Gyn; "postmenopausal uterine bleeding" is best evaluated by a gynecologist who can review your medical history, perform a complete physical exam including a speculum exam, cervical screening and visualize your pelvis, particularly your uterus and endometrium (transvaginal sonogram and saline sonohysterogram) to advise if a sampling of your endometrium by biopsy or D and C is needed.
