I am currently taking 25 mg of amytriptyline daily, and pepcid 20 mg daily (10 in am and 10 at pm) and it is working so well for me. however i read that there may be an issue with prolonged qt? but even at the low doses? i have no heart issues known?

Combined use of amitriptyline and pepcid does increase this risk of cardiac arrhythmia but it is a very rare side effect unless you have a condition called prolonged QT syndrome or other underlying heart disease. With your healthy history, I do not have much concern. If you want 100% sure, just ask your doctor for a 12 lead EKG for ruling out prolonged QT syndrome.

If you don't have a prolonged QT interval, family history of it or fainting,sudden death or you don't have electrolyte imbalance, I wouldn't worry about taking pepcid. I think you're also safe taking low dose amitriptyline and pepcid. Your pharmacist can provide further information on this question.
