Have you dealt with vitamin d induced deformities in younger teens, particularly of the lower leg? is surgery the only fix or can casting or braces to the job instead? also how urgent is it to be seen? it takes forever to get in to someone. thanks?

It takes a severe and prolonged Vit D deficiency to cause bone issues. Discuss with local Dr who will know more about young men like him who live where you live. The are other bone disease that can do the same thing. Check these out before any surgery.
