Use the in the lab where yours was done. And ask if they have different normals by age and gender.

I consider an ejection fraction near 55% pretty much "normal". I'm not shocked by different numbers given for normal as that is typical. No two people are exactly identical. Neither are peoples organs. Slight variations are the norm. This of course is assuming you don't have symptoms. Also I would not get hung up over 1%... these are really "guestimations", and could differ by study or day.
