My mom is suspected to have prediabetes. she went to have it checked and they only did 2 hour tolerance test. checked fasting levels, and after 2 hours post drinking 75g sugary drink. levels were normal. i think full 3 hour gtt should be done. no?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, she may wish to get a hemoglobin A1 c test done. If that is less than 5.7 she is unlikely to have pre-diabetes. Wish you good health!
