Some basics: Some labs use 180 as the high normal BS at 1 hr & rely more on the 2 hr as determinative. It suggests you may have pregnancy triggered problems with your blood sugar level. Reducing (not ending) intake of simple sugars/breads/potatoes & similar foods may be needed. This reduces risk for baby in the newborn period. I would discuss your results with your doc to be clear what it means for you.

Initial glucose challenge test-1 hour after drinking syrupy glucose solution, your blood sugar level is measured. A blood sugar level of 190mg/dl indicates gestational diabetes. If your level is higher than normal (140 mg/dl), you will need another glucose tolerance test. Treatment of gestational diabetes includes healthy diet, regular physical activity, and monitoring blood sugar.
