ASCUS (Atypical Cells of Undetermined Significance) is also "ASK US" in this case. It is a mild cell change that the Pathologist who looks at it can't call completely "normal or abnormal". CIN (Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia) is initially a definite change inside the cell with bigger nuclei and smaller cytoplasm. It can progress from Stages I to III which is also known as "cancer in a spot."
