Ive had this right quad pain the last 4 months after running a 8k race what should i do?

The quadricep muscles are not typically injured during running unless hills are a component. Stretching and range of motion are very important in maintaining proper muscle integrity. Strengthening is also an important part of muscle integrity. Ice massage followed by proper stretching in the morning and ice bag in evening. NSAIDs Physical therapy with structured program would be a benefit.
