Ive been constiapted and took magnesium citrate liquid which did give me watery, diarrhea (good amount) and eventually the stool was clear. hours later i still have rectal pressure and a couple hours ago had small poops? is this normal?

Magnesium citrate delivers a bolus of magnesium to the intestines that will result in diarrhea within 12 hours. Unfortunately it will also result in hypotonic bowels for at least 24 hours after administration. Treat the root cause of the constipation (increase fiber intake, more water, and less dairy) and try not to rely on laxatives.
