GERD or esophageal reflux is not likely to cause yellow stool that can be seen in a variety of conditions, some even normal having to do with quantity and quality of ingested food.

If Gerd were to cause any change in stool color it would be to darken stool because it can create gastritis severe enough to cause bleeding. Blood from the stomach will cause black tarry stools if there's enough of it. Now obstruction of bile flow from gallstones or to other causes famously results in light, clay-colored stools, and steatorrhea (stools that float due to a high fat content))
