Fever since tuesday, no cold or cough. fever lower now. had tests done, wbc is 3.3 and lymphocytes is 15. dr said it is a viral infection. last month, had tests too due to cystitis wbc12.5 lymphocyte 19. are these numbers something to worry about?

Classically lymphocyte percentage is are higher in viral infections.but a lower wbc, such as yours,does suggest a viral infection At this time there are no localized symptoms such as sore throat, cough,diarrhea characteristic of simple viral infections. Rest,drink lots fluids,take Tylenol as needed. Follow up cbc& differential cell count can be repeated after convalescence. Notify your MD as neede
