Yes, birth control pill can cause cholestasis with jaundice. Most of the time, this side effect resolves with discontinuing the OC pill.

Oral contraceptives rarely cause jaundice. Before attributing jaundice to your pill,you should be investigated for liver and gall bladder causes. Entities like viral hepatitis and gall stones as well as some less common things like Gilbert's syndrome.are some conditions to consider. Your PCP or a gastroenterologist can arrange appropriate testing.
