You are probably allergic with this medication. You should call your doctor for a different drug. You just took it so there is no serious withdrawal issue.

Take this very seriously, and stop the lamotrigine immediately. Also, contact your doctor about this. An itchy rash is often the initial manifestation of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, a dangerous side effect of lamotrigine, which could be life threatening.
