I am taking aygestin (norethnidrone). started with 5 mg daily. had spotting to light bleeding. dr increased to 10 mg daily. still having bleeding. is this normal?

What is the indication and if you take it for irregular menses or menorrhagia, have you had a thorough work-up for ruling out other causes? Progesterone is only indicated if your bleeding is due to hormonal imbalance and progesterone may initially slow the bleeding down but not stop it right away.
