Meaning is best correlated with clinical symptoms and signs. But films do describe disc problems with one contacting nerve root. Ask your doctor about surgery vrs physical therapy

You probably had this MRI done because of neck-shoulder-arm pain (radiculopathy) and herniated C5-6 disc with C6 nerve compression is the etiology. This condition should be conservatively managed first with medication(s) and physical therapy. Surgery may be indicated when conservative treatment fails.
