Can vaginal atrophy cause intermittent vaginal burning? been diagnosed with vaginal atrophy and just started premarin but the burning is driving me insane! should premarin help with this and if so how quickly?

That can occur with vaginal atrophy. Have you been offered vaginal estrogen cream instead of systemic use? If you have a uterus, and you take oral estrogens, it's important to also take progesterone according to instructions to prevent excessive stimulation of the uterine lining. Your gynecologist can advise you best,however.

Tes it can. And Premarin will help. In the meantime yuo can use OTC cortisone cream to the area . Hope you do well.
