Amyotrophy or muscle wasting due to a disuse disorder is an uncommon finding of Multiple Sclerosis, however, the causes of hand muscle atrophy could be explained by ulnar nerve palsy, corticospinal tract or basal ganglia involvement, or syringomyelia. A neurologist can confirm based on MRI findings of MS in the brain and spinal tract, as well as electromyography (EMG) of the hand

MS neither directly, nor indirectl,y causes muscular atrophy, as this would be a manifestation of lower motor neuron disease, and MS involves central nervous system. However, smaller musculature over palm might suggest a nerve compression, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. See your neurologist.
