Wheezing at any age can mean worrisome issues. The position in the breathing cycle: early in/mid/out or all the time sometimes helps define the location of the problem. In infants that age I worry about the area of the voice box/air intake area. I would suggest an exam and possibly x-rays to rule out a structure interfering with the airway.

The sound of wheezing should be distinguished from upper airway noises. Wheezing is a high pitched sound. Record the audio and share it with your Pediatrician and a virtual consult with Healthtap is available. Watch for signs of poor feeding, choking and fever.
