My 6 month old was administered 2mg ephedrine via im instead of inhalation. during this incident her liver enzymes were elevated: ast was 78 and her alt was 161. is there any concern for long term impacts to her liver from the overdose?

The liver enzymes should be followed, consider imaging, if persistently elevated. Watch for signs of jaundice, vomiting and abdominal swelling. The elevated liver enzymes may be due to another cause. Did your baby have negative newborn screening?
