Oil droplets in the stool are not normal. But usually this is not an isolated event. There are often other signs & symptoms that accompany this finding. Consider discussion with your primary care doctor if this issue persists.

I have oil at the top of my toilet water after bowel movement but my stool doesn't float. Is this still a fat malabsorption problem?
After a bowel movement I see a slight oil sheen/dots on the surface of the toilet water. I can't see it unless I use phone flashlight and I look at a sharp angle. Stool does not smell unusual/usually medium brown. Is this steatorrhea? Health anxiety?
Should I be concerned w/ cloudy water after last 2 bowel movements? Stool had been normal brown, then yellow when I wiped. Still normal brown stool, now cloudy water & not much when I wipe. Continue to have right upper qdrnt sting/gurgle off and on.
