Recently had a electromyography (emg) inserting needles to my r.leg & i was told there's a delay sending signal from the brain to the leg. the test was to find out if i have ms. have difficulty walking & sometimes i walk like a drunk person. is it ms?

It is my understanding that the EMG in MS is usually normal as MS doesn't affect the peripheral nervous system. & nerve conduction studies can be equivocal. Do you have muscle weakness? I assume you've consulted a neurologist and he/she can advise you best knowing your history, physical findings & results of testing that has been done.

MS is a disease of the central nervous system, involving eyes, brain, and/or spinal cord. The EMG will not confirm or disconfirm MS, as it is a test of the PERIPHERAL nervous system. Am confused by comment of "signal from the brain to the leg", as an evoked potential test would deal with this category, not EMG. Get a second opinion regarding potential MS.
