A member asked:

Diagnosed with strep that turned into a sinus infection with some kind of viral component (my moms words) and prescribed antibiotics and antibiotic eye drops. they say pink eye is viral, so why are the *antibiotic* eye drops helping?

Pink eye is commonly caused by a viral infection and this condition is limited which means it will get better with or without treatment. So your conjunctivitis has resolved by itself not because of the antibiotic drop unless you have a bacterial superinfection.
