My 1 year old had his 1 year vaccines 12 days ago. he had bit of a runny nose 3-4 days after and was extra cranky. today he seems raspy in his voice when he cries. no cough or runny nose. could it be vaccines, getting sick or just his voice is raspy?

I would not link this to the vaccines at all. He may have been exposed to other little kids with a runny nose/URI. Many URI's will involve the vocal cords and make them raspy. The incubation period for them is a few days.

The symptoms may also be related to a number of other causes including COVID 19, URI or other viral illness. Monitor temperature and breathing. Allergic reactions to dust, mold or other allergens may also cause raspy voice. Watch for drooling or shortness of breath. Most likely he will resolve and be well. Consider COVID 19 testing.
