A member asked:

I was told by my doctor to start taking vitamin b complex. i purchased some at the drug store and noticed the vitamin b12 in it has 15 mcg, is that to much vitamin b12? will it give me jitters and cause my heat to race?

It is unlikely that you will ingest too much vitamin B12 because excess amounts leave the body through urine. If your urine is bright yellow, it is most likely that you are taking in more B vitamins than you really need. Expensive urine, but not dangerous.

The dose of B12 in your supplement is enough to meet your daily requirement if you do not have issues with absorption. It will not cause any adverse effects. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Wish you good health!
