A member asked:

If i had swollen lymph nodes in my armpit would i be able to feel them by myself? i'm very slim. or can only professionals feel them?

At rest the nodes are about 1 cm in size. When they are working they enlarge and if infected/overwhelmed they can be golf ball size or larger & would usually be painful.

You could feel the nodes. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
