I constantly wash my hands to the point the back of my hands are scaly would this cause irritation and itching and redness and soreness?

Yes. Your hands are not designed for such self inflicted trauma. Discuss this with your doc who will likely refer you for treatment of this symptom of OCD.

Perhaps a visit to a dermatologist would help find a solution. There are several issues worthy of clarification, including why the excessive washing, whether there might be an allergic reaction, and the need to find a more reasonable limit on the frequency of washing one's hands. In addition, the use of a skin moisturizer regularly, and a switch to a nonallergenic soap might be helpful.

There are 2 aspects of this: how often you are washing your hands and why (for work, because of COVID, other reason)? If you are washing your hands a lot by necessity, you then need to address the type of soap, temperature of water, and moisturizing after washing. Do you have dry skin elsewhere? Recommend discussing with your doctor and/or a dermatologist.
