I stopped metronidazole after 8 days. i developed 99 c 98 fever during the last days. im exhausted i hate that medication. im 73. would like to know if this is related with the treatment! thank you?

Maybe metronidazole isn't the problem. It can cause allergic reactions that include fever, but uncommonly. And 98-99F doesn't count as fever; everybody's body temperature fluctuates over the day and reaches 99 or even 99.5 once in a while. Why are you taking it? Is it certain the problem is the drug and not the infection it is intended to treat? Don't stop it without discussing w/ you doctor.
