Maybe metronidazole isn't the problem. It can cause allergic reactions that include fever, but uncommonly. And 98-99F doesn't count as fever; everybody's body temperature fluctuates over the day and reaches 99 or even 99.5 once in a while. Why are you taking it? Is it certain the problem is the drug and not the infection it is intended to treat? Don't stop it without discussing w/ you doctor.
