With this much surgery you would expect this result. You need to wait for healing and the sutures to be removed. A soft diet is necessary so food doesn't get into the extraction sites and cause problems. The numbness should decrease, if not go back to the dentist, but always follow the post extraction directions.

I suggest you call the surgeon for a post operative evaluation. Paresthesia is always a possibility following wisdom tooth extraction, but your surgeon should evaluate the wound to see if further treatment is needed.

Immediately return to the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that removed your teeth. He/she is responsible for your post-surgical care. You may need observation, additional surgery, or referral to a Neurosurgeon. But you will have to be examined before treatment can be determined. Do not delay.
