Hi, can someone explain what prominent vascular grooves on a skull x-ray means? thanks?

When a blood vessel transverses through the skull or along its surface it will produce a recognizable groove. By itself the wording is just the radiologist providing written evidence they looked at the films and noticed it. The ordering doctor does not like a simple "normal study" interpretation. I would clarify this with your doc who knows why the study was done.

It's more of a descriptive term of what the radiologist is seeing. It does not mean that this is necessarily an abnormality which needs attention.
