The daily protein excretion in the child's urine is slighly over the 100mgs normal limit. However, since the proteinuria is not present in morning specimens, therefore not continuous, I feel this is a benign, insignificant issue called orthostatic proteinuria, often seen in youngsters, and not caused by kidney pathology. A nephrologist can evaluate and validate this for you.

Agree with Dr. Colantino. The child probably has postural proteinuria and may not reflect serious kidney issues. It would be prudent to consult a nephrologist. Wish you and the child good health!

The urine dipstick detects albumin, one type of protein so when albumin is not there, dipstick result is negative. However, measurement of protein in the urine (proteinuria) is done by a quantitative test with all the proteins in the urine and that's why I told you in the previous reply that albuminuria is more important for detecting kidney problem because total protein can be high in cystitis.
