With today's low hormone levels in oral bcp, there are fewer disqualifying issues to prevent use. At "38" years, with aging eggs requiring more stimulation to ovulate, estrogen levels achieved are higher, so suppression of ovarian hormone activity may assist. Check with your GYN provider for your particular case with regard to exclusionary factors for low dose oral bcp's.
