A member asked:

How many mg of a corticosteroid is the maximum amount that a dermatologist can inject to treat facial cystic acne?

Varies with agent: The answer depends on the concentration of the corticosteroid and the corticosteroid itself used since they are not all the same. We use intralesional triamciolone at 3 mg/cc concentration and typically use about one cc.

We use 2.5mg/cc: Yes...We use 2.5mg/cc and inject between a 1/2 to 1 cc depending on the size of the cyst....But the concentration will vary a little depending on which steroid you use. We use traimcinolone acetonide. There is no real maximum concentration but if you use too strong of a concentration or inject too large of a volume you can cause steroid atrophy.
