I get a bright red, burning rash on my armpit; occasionally it's sore. i've changed deodorant to one w/out phthalates, aluminum, etc; still happens. i use medicated powder to clear it up (something like gold bond medicated powder). what can i do?

Stop all deodorants for a while. Use only powder as deodorant for now. See dermatologist for evaluation and treatment with appropriate topical cream. Eventually you might try an unscented, mild anti perspirant.
