I am under going mdr tb treatment for 3 months with bedaquiline and other 6 different medecine ..but for few days i had some eye sight problem so i visited my eye doctor for it. she asked me to stop ethambutol permanently.does it affects the treatmen?

It may not affect your treatment however there is not enough information here since you have not disclosed the medications you are taking apart from the Bedaquiline and ethambutol and not knowing the sensitivity pattern of the MDR. Do stop the ethambutol but make sure to follow up with the doctor that has the information about the MDR as soon as possible but continue other medications together.

Please have monthly visits with your TB physician, and at six months if you have not culture converted to a negative culture and sensitivities, to determine which medication regimens should be continued. Since you are recommended to stop Eth, following up is especially important. A chest image is usually recommended towards the end of the course or if there is worsening. Watch for inc. in cough.
