Squint = strabismus,: misalignment of the eyes that can be caused by disruption of any site along the neuromuscular pathway of the eyes & some other causes. If not treated early enough, the brain turns off the image from the weaker eye (amblyopia). See a pediatric ophthalmologist, an MD, not an optometrist. Treatment is based on the type of strabismus & is aimed at correcting or preserving as much vision as possible.
