This yellowish discoloration may represent granulation tissue or healing tissue sometimes seen in the incision. As time progresses this area will heal and disappear. As long as there is no foul smelling discharge, redness or pain you should be fine. If it’s still there when you see your surgeon in follow up, point it out to him.
