My left testicle is very swollen. it started earlier today and swelling has increased throughout day. pressure makes it painful to the touch and it is very red. i'm just wondering if i should go in to e.r. or wait and see if it decreases?

Yes=please go NOW. In the meantime wear a good support underwear and take Ibuprofen. Seems you have an acute inflammation of the epididymis and testis. Hope you feel better
