Ive iron deficiency anemia&start iron transfusions soon..but my wbc has been elevated for 18mths w\chills fever swollen lymphnodes severe sore throat down to my chest&ears etc when i eat\drink quite painful -especially llq -is this bc of my iron?

I would not blame the symptoms on low iron. Low iron is likely caused by whatever is triggering the other symptoms. The potential causes are many, including auto-immune, infectious and others. Your docs are likely working to sort it all out and it can take a while before the answer is evident.

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Enlarged nodes fever and sore throat are not due to iron deficiency. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a hematologist. Wish you good health!
