My cardiologist says i have stage 2 ckd my concern being diastolic may spike into the 90s. but my cardiologist says the systolic is more important. should i not be rightfully concerned? what is done with diastolic hypertension? see a nephrologist?

I would recommend seeing a nephrologist so that measures can be taken to avoid progression of your stage 2 chronic kidney disease. A nephrologist can help get your blood pressure controlled and may suggest dietary measures that may also help. You may also need further testing. If you are diabetic, you need that to be controlled as well. So, see the nephrologist. Best of luck to you!!
