If this is a new problem for you and recent onset, the main thing is to be tested for respiratory infections, especially COVID and maybe flu. If it's an ongoing problem, you should be evaluated for asthma and other chronic respiratory problems. Either way, contact your doctor. If severe (e.g. shortness of breath) or high fever, visit an urgent care clinic or emergency room. Good luck.

Urgent care is another option. COVID testing is recommended, and consider bronchitis and asthma as possible causes of your symptoms. Have you wheezed previously? If you are in distress, short of breath, please proceed to the Emergency room. If you have asthma, follow your asthma action- you may require oral steroids. Avoid exposure to possible triggers in the environment.
