Im 47 and i have hydronephrosis and from oct 2021- april 2022 ive had 7 ct scans.6 of then were abdomen/pelvis w/o contrast and 1 of them was head or brain w/o contrast.should i be worried about too much radiation exposure?would that cause the c-word?

Any radiation increases the risk of cancer theoretically.

No it will not. CT scans are now done with low dose most of the time. Also ask your ordering MD and the radiologist for 'safe' dose next time

Read an article that stated research shows radiation exposure from CT scans leads to increased risk for certain cancers, incl. brain cancer. I had a CT scan of head as a baby in late 1970s. Should I be concerned? Mom died of GBM in 2007, so I worry.
I had one head ct scan and two brain spect scan in three years. All normal. How many brain cells would have died because of the radiation I received?
