You don't mention what type of symptoms you've experiencing. In the scenario you describe with a negative CT scan of the visualized esophagus cancer there is very unlikely to be present. I think you'll be very reassured by your endoscopy in June.

Things that increase your risk are smoking and long term daily alcohol intake, higher age than you( 60s or later) The symptoms of esophageal cancer are also the symptoms of many common diseases like eosinophilia esophagitis, regular esophagitis( inflammation), and esophageal ring/ stricture ( a scar that makes it painful and hard to pass food or keep it down).
