A member asked:

Can lasik cause rapid heart beat?

Unlikely: It can certainly happen, but the likelihood is low and any effects may be temporary. Someone undergoing any sort of procedure can feel nervous, which can raise the heart rate transiently. It is best to discuss any issues you might have with your surgeon beforehand.
