If someone had short episodes of angina, lasting less than 1-2 minutes, would this cause any scaring or damage to the heart?

Unusual in young...: "Angina", as it relates to the heart, is usually a pain or tightness of the chest, back, neck, jaw and sometimes upper abdomen, with exertion and relieved by rest. It can be due to a coronary artery narrowing due to arteriosclerosis or spasm. The symptom merits an evaluation including a careful history, physical exam, EKG and possibly a coronary CT angiogram. See your doctor.
