Steroids, like Triamcinolone, work as anti-inflammatory drugs and show their effects within one to two weeks. If there is no obvious benefit within the first 3 weeks of local applications, it is unlikely that this medicine will provide meaningful benefit. Alternative treatment choices should then be explored.
