Could i have developed gerd from taking meloxicam for a long time (2 years) and if i no longer take it will my stomach issues clear up or at least improve?

Meloxicam does not cause GERD but this medication is well known to cause gastritis +/- peptic ulcer disease. You have to stop this medication, take medication for reducing stomach acid for 2 months and avoid foods which can exacerbate the symptoms. Your stomach will likely heal completely if you do not have H. pylori infection. Again, it is not GERD, see a doctor for an appropriate care.
